The Muhlenberg women's tennis team kept showing its improvement, running its record to 8-2 with a 5-2 win at DeSales.
The eight wins tie the most for the Mules since 2011, and their record is the best through 10 matches since the 2002 team finished at 12-1. The seven-win improvement from last year ties the best in school history; the Mules turned a 4-10 record in 2000 to a 11-4 mark in 2001.
Muhlenberg lost to DeSales last year, 5-2, and has now reversed the score on two straight opponents. Last Thursday, the Mules posted a 7-0 win against an Arcadia team that beat them 7-0 last season.
The two teams split the first two completed doubles matches before junior
Sydney Madlock and senior
Caitlin Bestrycki clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win at No. 2.
Madlock and Bestrycki added singles wins in straight sets, as did senior
Kety Gaidamashvili (pictured above) and junior
Alexandra Downey in close matches.
