In order to be considered for Club Sport status, the sport in question must either presently be an NCAA Division III intercollegiate sport or the NCAA must consider the sport an "Emerging Sport." Club sports must adhere to the guidelines in the Club Sport Handbook.

• Student Club or Organization - any group that does not fit in the categories above.
  • Cheerleading
  • Swimming

In order to apply for Intercollegiate Club Sport status, ALL of the following criteria must be in place:

• Muhlenberg College does not offer this sport at the NCAA intercollegiate level.
• The sport must either presently be an NCAA Division III intercollegiate sport or the NCAA must consider the sport an "Emerging Sport."
• The organizers must demonstrate interest and ability from our student population by operating as a "Club Sport" for a minimum of one academic year before applying for Intercollegiate Club status.
• If the aforementioned requirements are not met, the requesting organization should seek "Club" status through The Club Recognition Committee of Student Activities rather than "Club Sport" status.
