The Muhlenberg women's tennis team tuned up for the start of Centennial Conference play by shutting out Alvernia, 7-0, for its fourth straight win.
The four-match winning streak is the longest for the Mules (5-1) since 2010, when they won their last four matches of the season.
Except for first doubles and first singles, Muhlenberg won handily, dropping a total of only four games in the other seven matches. Senior
Kety Gaidamashvili recorded a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at fourth singles, while sophomore
Alexandra Roehl and junior
Alexandra Downey (pictured above) both won by 8-0 shutout.
Freshman
Sydney Madlock rebounded after dropping her first set to win in a close third set tiebreaker.
