The Muhlenberg men's track and field team broke three school records at the Fastrack National Invite, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
Junior
Christopher Short contributed to two of the records, including one in the final event of the meet. Short ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay team that finished in 3:22.30, smashing the previous mark of 3:23.73 that had stood since 2012. He split a blistering 48.36, passing three competitors and earning a spot in the record book along with his relay-mates, freshman
Kadon Harris and juniors
Sultan Almosbeh and
David Seel.
Short also broke his own school record in the 200, lowering his time from 22.17 to 22.14, and has now set three school records in the last two weeks.
Sophomore
Sean McNeil also broke his own record, triple jumping 47-3¼ to place fifth. He set the old standard of 47-2½ two weeks ago
.
Harris
(pictured above right) also had a big day in the field, winning the high jump by clearing 6-4¾. That tied him for third place on the Mules' all-time performance list. Entering the weekend, no one in the Centennial Conference had a better mark this season.
