McNulty Takes Home Player of the Week

Muhlenberg women's basketball senior Avery McNulty has been named Centennial Conference player of the week after averaging a double-double over her last three games and leading the Mules to a 2-0 start in conference play.

McNulty's stretch of domination began in Muhlenberg's lone loss of the week to Misericordia on December 2. The forward put up career highs in points (18), rebounds (12), and steals (5), in addition to blocking three shots. She was especially effective in the second quarter, where she was responsible for all 10 of her team's points. McNulty was the first Mule to have at least 15 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals since Leanna Tallamy during the 2014-15 season, and the first player in recorded team history to reach those marks and block three shots in a game.

A day later, McNulty followed it up with a second straight double-double in a 72-49 rout of Bryn Mawr, totaling 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Mules moved to 2-0 in Centennial Conference action three days later, on December 6 in come back fashion. That comeback was started by none other than McNulty, who drained a three-pointer with just under three minutes left to spark the 10-0 run that decided the game.

After missing last season due to injury, the senior is averaging career highs in nearly every single category thus far in 2025-26. She ranks among the conference leaders in rebounds per game (7.8, eighth), made threes per game (2.2, fourth), and blocks per game (1.4, seventh).

McNulty and the Mules return to action on December 13 when they travel to Alvernia to take on the Golden Wolves at 1 p.m.
