The Muhlenberg Mules cut a 12-point halftime deficit to just five down the stretch, but the Arcadia Knights emerged from the Tuesday evening contest with a 65-57 victory.
The visiting Mules did an excellent job taking care of the ball throughout the game, finishing with only eight turnovers compared to the Knights' 15.
Avery McNulty and
Veronica Dawson both had three steals apiece, and Muhlenberg finished with 13 thefts as a team. McNulty also led the visitors with 17 points in addition to eight rebounds.
Linzy Roberson's 13 points came in an efficient manner, as she shot five-for-eight on the evening. Dawson had 11 points and paced her squad with nine boards, finishing one short of a double-double.
The Mules ended up with 16 more shots than the opposition due to those takeaways, but a prolific night from beyond the arc (13 made threes to just four for Muhlenberg) for the Knights rendered that a moot point.
