The Muhlenberg track and field teams competed at two meets, where they were led by newcomers and veterans.
On Friday night at Franklin & Marshall's Diplomat Open, freshmen men
Raam Ravishankar and
David Seel, both making their Mule track debuts, went 1-2 in the 800.
The majority of the team competed on Saturday at Lehigh's Fast Times Before Finals meet, and for the second week in a row freshman
Maya Richwine had the top performance. She came in fourth (behind one Division I and two Division II athletes) in the 60-meter hurdles with a regional-qualifying time of 9.43, moving into a tie for fourth on the program's all-time list.
Also making the all-time performance list were a pair of seniors.
Kayla Morisi (pictured above right) ran the 60 meters in 8.43 seconds, improving on the personal best of 8.52 she set last week and entering the performance list for the first time in ninth place.
Senior
Trevor Hitchcock moved into ninth on the all-time list when he placed fourth in the 500. Senior
Noah Halterman-Mitchell (pictured above left) was right behind him in fifth place
Other placewinners for the Mules were senior
Dylan DeMagistris, seventh in the weight throw, and freshman
Bryce Rhodeman, sixth in the high jump.
Overall, Muhlenberg had 15 new or improved Centennial Conference qualifiers.
