The Muhlenberg women's basketball team fell behind early and could never recover, falling at McDaniel, 63-52. The loss snapped a nine-game winning streak for the Mules.

McDaniel (18-1, 12-1), whose only loss is to Muhlenberg, raced out to a 10-0 lead in the first three minutes. The Mules (12-6, 11-3) regrouped and scored the next eight points, but another dry spell later in the half left them down 30-12.

A pair of driving layups by senior Janelle Fleet and a three-pointer by senior Abby Stenger were part of a 12-2 run that cut the gap to eight at the half. Muhlenberg got as close as five in the second half, but McDaniel held on.

Senior Leanna Tallamy led Muhlenberg with 24 points - 17 of them in the second half - and nine rebounds, while Fleet tied her career high with 10 points. Junior Christina Santone (pictured above) blocked three shots.
