Muhlenberg track and field junior
Christopher Short improved on his school records yet again at Moravian's Coach Pollard Invitational.
Short won the 400 in 47.60 seconds, taking .36 off the outdoor school record he set last week at Delaware and moving into third place on the all-time Centennial Conference list, closing in on the league's 24-year-old record of 47.42. Going into Saturday, there were only 16 faster recorded times in Division III this season.
Short also came in second in the 200, knocking his modern school record down from 21.62 to 21.60, and ran on the 4x400 team (along with sophomore
James Williams, junior
Sultan Almosbeh, and freshman
Kadon Harris) that placed sixth with the 10th-fastest time on the Mules' all-time performance list.
Harris finished third in both the high jump and 400 hurdles, running 55.84 in the latter to move from seventh to fourth on the all-time performance list.Â
Senior
Dorsey Shoultz III (pictured above right) came in second in the discus.
The top placewinner for the women was senior
Avery McNulty, who was fourth in the high jump. Junior
Ava Lundy set a personal best in the steeplechase, lowering her time by more than two seconds, and junior
Kaitlyn Legaspi (pictured above left) tied her personal best (9-0¼) in the pole vault.
