Four individuals and one relay team from Muhlenberg received All-Metro Region recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2026 outdoor season.
The top eight individuals in each event from each region on the year-end descending order lists earned all-region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top eight relay teams.Â
The Mule honorees were the 4x400-meter relay team of juniors
Sultan Almosbeh,
David Seel, and
Christopher Short and freshman
Kadon Harris; Short by himself in the 400 meters; sophomore
Caitlyn D'Addieco in the discus; junior
Maggie Holderith in the 10,000 meters; and senior
Avery McNulty in the high jump and javelin.
The 4x400 relay team set a school record of 3:18.03 while taking first place at the Penn Relays, shattering the previous mark by 1.3 seconds. The time was fifth best in the region for the season. The Muhlenberg quartet went on to earn a silver medal at the Centennial Conference Championships.Â
Short posted the fourth-fastest time in the 400 meters in the region, clocking in with a school-record 47.60 seconds. He took first place at the CC Championships with the greatest margin of victory in the event since the very first CC meet in 1994.
D'Addieco was fifth on the performance list in the discus, throwing a personal-best 132-5 at the CC Championships. That was the second-best mark in program history and earned her a fourth-place finish.
Holderith landed in seventh place on the regional descending order list with her time of 39:27.93 at the CC meet. She came in eighth, becoming the first Mule women's runner to place in the 10K since 2018, and moved up to fourth on the program's all-time performance list.
McNulty is the first member of the Muhlenberg women's team to earn all-region in two open events since Abby Dalton in 2022 and the first to do so in two field events since Michelle Gaykowski (one indoors and one outdoors) in 2016. She ranked fifth in the high jump (5-5) and seventh in the javelin (120-9), finishing her career with six all-region nods. At the CC Championships, she won the high jump and placed fifth in the javelin.
