Christopher Short continued his winter run through the Muhlenberg track and field record book at the Widener Indoor Classic.
Short ran the 400 meters in 47.99 seconds at UPenn's Ott Center, breaking the 15-year-old school record by 0.68 seconds. It was the fourth school record in the last three weeks for Short, who previously put his name at the top of the lists in the 200, 500, and 4x400 relay. The clocking also broke the Centennial Conference record, which had been set just last week.
Short placed second to a Division II runner and lowered his personal best in the 400 from 49.59; the new mark ranks in the top 20 in Division III this season. He also set a personal best in the 60 meters, clocking in at 6.98 in both the prelims and final and drawing closer to yet another school record (currently at 6.92).
