The Muhlenberg men's soccer team is preparing for the 2025 campaign by taking a preseason tour of Portugal.

Following is a report on the first part of the trip.

Day 1
The Muhlenberg men's soccer team landed in Lisbon, Portugal, on Sunday at 5:30am. We  ate breakfast and then went to tour S.L. Benfica's Stadium.  

After the stadium tour we had a guided walking tour of Lisbon with some free time to explore and grab lunch before heading to the hotel for a well-needed shower!  

After some naps, the team got together for a team dinner at a Portuguese steak house before getting some sleep at the end of a long hot day!

Day 2
Day 2 consisted of our first training session of the trip to knock off some rust.  

In the afternoon we went on a guided bike tour of Lisbon down by the Tagus River, with stops under the Portuguese "Golden Gate Bridge" and the world famous Pastéis de Belém pastry shop.

Day 3
We boarded the bus and headed to the beautiful beach town of Cascais for some time in the cold Atlantic water, grabbing lunch and checking out some of the stores throughout the town.  

After a quick shower and nap we boarded the bus once more and headed to our first game against Estoril Braia U19. Sim Dorsey scored two goals and the Mules held on for a 2-1 victory in the scorching Portuguese sun!

We ended the night with a team dinner. Tomorrow we head north to Porto.
