In a fast-paced, physical contest, the Muhlenberg Mules fell 2-0 to the visiting Haverford Fords in a Centennial Conference clash Wednesday evening.
Muhlenberg's best chance to score in the match came with just over 15 minutes to go in the second half, when senior
Gabe Blikshteyn (

The hosts played from behind for much of the game, as the Fords netted their first goal just over five minutes into the contest as part of a scrum following a throw-in. Muhlenberg's scoring opportunities were few; most of the Mules' shots were taken from well beyond the 18 because of some good defense played by the visitors.
The physicality was there from the start, as the Mules received a yellow card just 15 seconds into the game; that was one of just two cards handed out on the evening despite the usual intensity and liveliness that comes with a Centennial Conference contest.
