House Wins Regional on Final Throw

Muhlenberg graduate student Noel House won the javelin in dramatic fashion at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships.

House (pictured above) sat in fourth place entering his sixth and final attempt before uncorking a throw of 207-9 to set a meet record, topping the previous mark of 206-6. The throw also likely extended House's career: He came into the meet ranked only 37th in Division III and had improved only slightly in his first five attempts. His winning distance had been exceeded by only 12 Division III throwers heading into the final last-chance meets. So instead of his final attempt being the last of his career, House - a 2024 All-American - has a strong chance at earning a return trip to the NCAA Championships.

House won the javelin at the AARTF Championships for the second straight year.

Sophomore Maya Richwine, one of three Mules to compete on the first day of the regional meet, qualified for the final in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.75, just a tenth of a second off the school record.
