Triple Jump Record Highlights Home Invitational

Two first-place finishes, one of which produced a school record, highlighted a strong day for the Muhlenberg track and field teams at their home invitational.

Freshman Sean McNeil won the triple jump in 46-7¼, easily surpassing the school record of 45-11¾ that was set three years ago. The mark is within three inches of the top 10 on the all-time Centennial Conference list.

Junior Mike Powel had a huge personal best in winning the shot put, throwing 48-4 to top his previous high of 47-2¼ and move from seventh to sixth on the Mules' all-time performance list.

The men's team also had four second-place finishes, including two by sophomore Maxwell Broadbent in the long and triple jumps. He set a PR in the triple, jumping from seventh to fifth on the performance list.

The top finisher for the women's team was senior Erin Jackson, who placed second in the 800.

Other highlights for the Mules included:
• Sophomore Raam Ravishankar broke four minutes in the 1500.
• Sophomore Ava Lundy landed in ninth place on the all-time performance list in the steeplechase.
• Freshman Molly Curtis entered the performance list in the triple jump in a tie for sixth place at 34-0, improving her personal best by more than a foot
