One week after the Muhlenberg men's 4x100-meter relay team broke a school record, the women's relay team followed suit.
The Mule foursome of junior
Lauren Siesky (pictured above right), sophomore
Maya Richwine, and juniors
Niki Matthews and
Shira Gamson finished second with a time of 49.41 at Lehigh's Carol & John Covert Classic. That broke the mark of 49.68, set 20 years ago.
Both men's relay teams finished first at the meet, with the 4x400 squad of sophomores
Sultan Almosbeh,
David Seel,
Raam Ravishankar, and
Christopher Short posting a time of 3:19.65, the second-best in program history.
Seel finished third in the 400, landing in ninth place on the performance list, while senior
Connor Fenstermaker (pictured above left) and sophomore
Maxwell Broadbent placed third and fourth, respectively, in the long jump.
Richwine complemented her record-setting performance in the relay with a second-place finish in the 100 hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.88 seconds, just off her personal best of 14.83, while Matthews set a personal best in the long jump, moving up from eighth to seventh on the all-time performance list.
Freshmen
Ella Sarnitsky (pole vault) and Caitlin D'Addieco (discus) recorded big personal bests, with D'Addieco improving by more than 17 feet to land in fourth place on the all-time performance list.
Muhlenberg's final weekend of competition before the Centennial Conference Championships began with graduate student
Noel House placing seventh in the javelin at the Penn Relays.
