The home team had a strong day at the Muhlenberg Novice Tournament, a women's wrestling invitational that included athletes from Division I, II and III varsity and club squads.

The seven Mule wrestlers combined to go 14-7, with two - freshmen Sylvyn Parham at 110 and Gabrielle Roberts at 138 - going undefeated in their pools.

Parham won all three of her bouts by technical superiority, building a lead of 10-0 or better in the first period. She is 9-2 this season, with eight of her nine wins coming on techs.

Roberts recorded two tech falls (one in just 36 seconds) and a pin to improve her season record to 7-2.

Sophomore Alessandra Rodriguez went 2-1 with a pair of technical falls at 124. She tied her first bout 6-6, but her opponent was awarded the win on criteria, scoring the last points of the bout.

Freshmen Riley Lynch (145) and Gelia Brutus (180) also won two of their three bouts, with Brutus overcoming a 4-0 deficit to pin her final opponent. 

Sophomore Ella Pomeranz needed only a minute to notch her first pin of the season, while sophomore Julianna Fiorello (pictured above) recorded her first career pin in just 41 seconds.
