Women’s Wrestling Adds Talented Quartet

The Muhlenberg women's wrestling team has added four newcomers for the upcoming season, head coach Travis Spencer announced Tuesday.

"This is a very talented group who is eager to help our program," Spencer said of the class. "They fit the character and hard work ethic that we hope to instill on our team. It will be fun to see them progress with the current team members."

The group consists of four members: Charlida Cimino (110/117 lbs), Carly Poggio (124 lbs), Shea Simon (207 lbs), and Victoria Tomczyk (124 lbs).

Cimino, Poggio, and Tomcyzk will look to help fill the 110-, 117-, 124-, and 131-pound weight classes that the Mules occasionally had trouble filling out last season. Simon could be a potential 207-lb representative next season. Tomczyk was one of the founding members of the women's wrestling team at Union County. Three of the four (Cimino, Poggio, and Tomczyk) come from New Jersey, while Simon went to school in New York but hails originally from New Mexico.
