Six Earn All-CC in Men's Soccer; Roberts Named Player of the Year

For the second time in the last three years, six Muhlenberg players were named to the All-Centennial Conference men's soccer team.

Leading the way was junior back Sam Roberts, who was named defensive player of the year.

Joining Roberts on the first team was senior goalkeeper Ben Mulford. Sophomore forward Saleem Diakite and senior back Sim Dorsey landed on the second team, while senior forward Elie Khalil and senior midfielder Sebastian Tis received honorable mention.

Roberts, who earned his second major CC award after being named rookie of the year in 2023, is the first Mule to be named defensive player of the year since the award was created in 2022. He also is only the eighth player ever, and the first from Muhlenberg, to be named to the All-CC first team after each of his first three seasons.

Roberts anchored a defense that allowed only five goals in nine CC games, recording shutouts in five of them. He also was an offensive threat with his long throws, leading the team with four assists.

Mulford also was a big piece of the stingy Mule defense, literally and figuratively. He leads the CC with an .838 save percentage (currently 19th in Division III) and also ranks in the top 20 in Division III in goals-against average (0.61 - the best by a Muhlenberg goalie since 2010).

Mulford, who was CC tournament MVP in 2022 and earned All-CC honorable mention in 2023, finished his career with a 0.87 goals-against average, .789 save percentage, and 27 shutouts in his 70 starts.

Diakite moved up to the second team after receiving honorable mention as a freshman. He led the Mules with three goals in CC games and tied for the team lead with five goals overall. Diakite was named CC player of the week after scoring two goals in the final 10 minutes of a 4-2 win against Gettysburg.

Dorsey repeated on the second team, this time as a back after being honored as a forward last season. He is only the second player in program history, and the first in more than 30 years, to earn all-conference honors at both forward and back. Dorsey moved to defense, starting five CC games at center back, after an injury to Roberts and contributed as a forward with a goal and an assist.

Khalil and Tis both earned their first all-conference nods as seniors.

Khalil tied for the team lead in goals with five, matching his total from his first three seasons. He also hit the winning penalty kick in the Mules' shootout win against Haverford in the first round of the CC playoffs.

Tis rebounded from an injury that cut his 2024 season short to start all but one of Muhlenberg's last 14 games. His lone goal of the season was a game-winning penalty kick against Franklin & Marshall in the Mules' CC opener.

Muhlenberg finished the 2025 season with an 8-3-9 mark, setting a school record with a 16-game unbeaten streak. The Mules were ranked in the national top 25 during the season and advanced to the CC semifinals for the fourth year in a row.
