An undefeated start has put the Muhlenberg men's soccer team into the national rankings.

The Mules are ranked 24th in the United Soccer Coaches top 25 poll released this week. It's their first time in the top 25 since 2023, when they climbed as high as No. 16.

After the poll was released, Muhlenberg ran its record to 8-0-6 with a 3-1 win against Widener. The 14-game unbeaten streak is one short of the school record, set when the 2010 squad started out 9-0-6. The Mules will get a chance to tie the record when they host Washington College on Senior Day this Saturday.

Even more remarkably, the Mules have gone an entire calendar year without losing a regular-season game. Since their last regular-season loss on October 12, 2024, they are 13-1-9, with their lone setback coming to Stevens in the NCAA Tournament. 

With four games remaining in the regular season, Muhlenberg is tied with ninth-ranked Dickinson for first place in the Centennial Conference. The Mules host the Red Devils in their regular-season finale on Halloween.

In the United Soccer Coaches Region V ranking, Muhlenberg is fourth, behind three other undefeated teams in Dickinson, Scranton, and Catholic. The Mules are 4-0-1 against regionally ranked opponents, with wins against Lebanon Valley (fourth in Region IV), Gettysburg (sixth in Region V), Rutgers-Camden (seventh in Region IV), and Moravian (eighth in Region V) and a draw against FDU-Florham (fifth in Region IV).
