The Muhlenberg women's basketball team trailed by only five with less than five minutes to play, but McDaniel pulled away late to win, 61-44.

The Mules (6-9, 2-8) trailed 9-0 early but came back to take the lead briefly in the second quarter. The Green Terror (4-12, 2-9) quickly regained the lead, however, and stretched their margin to 13 in the third quarter.

It was 45-33 with seven minutes to play before Muhlenberg turned up the pressure, forcing turnovers on four straight McDaniel possessions. Senior Tara Szawaluk drained a three following a steal with 4:50 to play to complete a 7-0 run that made the score 45-40.

The Green Terror responded with a 10-0 run to put the game out of reach and gain a split of the season series.

Freshman Emily Unger led the Mules with 10 points, while Szawaluk finished with nine on the strength of three threes. Senior Margaux Eripret (pictured above) pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds and scored 7 points.
