The national ranking suits the Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team just fine.
In their first game since
entering the Division III poll for the first time in program history, the Mules matched their ranking by scoring 20 goals in a 20-10 win at Haverford.
The win was the eighth straight for Muhlenberg, breaking the school record of seven it set at the beginning of last season. And it came against a Haverford squad that has qualified for the Centennial Conference playoffs three of the last four years.
Sophomore
Amanda Tullo scored a career-high eight points on four goals and four assists, becoming the third different Mule to record an eight-point game in the last two weeks. Junior
Jordy Bonvini nearly became the fourth, scoring a career-high seven goals on only nine shots and tying her career high with 13 draw controls.
Senior
Nora Fisher also netted a hat trick, her fourth of the season, and senior
Stephanie D'Ascoli and junior
Eliza Clark added a pair of goals apiece.
Showing no hangover from their
8-7 upset of top-ranked Gettysburg four days ago, the Mules (8-1, 3-0) jumped out to a 9-1 lead 16 minutes into the game. Bonvini scored five of her goals in that stretch, including three straight at one point.
 Tullo
(pictured above) scored three of her goals in the second half, including one with 4:40 remaining to give Muhlenberg its third 20-goal game of the season. She also picked up a career-high five ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.
The Mules recorded assists on 14 of their 20 goals, with senior
Kelsey Nagle dishing out four assists to move into sole possession of ninth place on the CC all-time list with 119 in her career. Â
