The Muhlenberg baseball team came back twice to tie but lost in the bottom of the ninth at Dickinson, 6-5.

The Mules (12-16, 6-9) trailed 2-0 after five. They cut the gap in half in the top of the sixth on a two-out RBI single by senior Chris Manfredonia and drew even in the seventh when senior Jimmy Cody singled in a run.

The Red Devils (11-20-1, 5-9-1) went back ahead with two in the bottom of the seventh and added an insurance run in the bottom of thei eighth.

Down to its final three outs, Muhlenberg staged another comeback in the ninth. Manfredonia led off with a walk and went to second on a single by senior Kurt Johnson. After a double by senior Michael Giordano brought in one run, back-to-back sacrifice flies by Cody and senior Brett Rosen (pictured above) tied the score.

Dickinson walked off with the win on a single, walk and single.

Johnson and Giordano each had two hits for the Mules. Starting pitcher Troy Elias pitched into the seventh and allowed only two earned runs while striking out six.
