Seniors
Gabe Blikshteyn and
Sam Roberts and junior
Owen Zoeller (pictured left to right above) have been selected as captains of the 2026 Muhlenberg men's soccer team.
Blikshteyn has played in 40 games, starting 15, during his career. He was limited by injuries as a junior but ranked fifth on the team in scoring as a sophomore, scoring the lone goal with under five minutes remaining in a 1-0 win at TCNJ and netting another goal at nationally ranked Franklin & Marshall in a Centennial Conference semifinal. Blikshteyn has been named to the CC Academic Honor Roll each of the last two seasons.
Roberts, in his second season as a team captain, has started all 58 games in which he played at Muhlenberg, earning All-CC first-team honors and all-region recognition three consecutive years. The 2025 CC defensive player of the year, he also enters the season leading all active Mules in career points (21) and assists (11). Roberts was first Academic All-American for the men's soccer program in 11 years last fall.
Zoeller has been a fixture in the lineup in each of his first two seasons at Muhlenberg, playing in all but one of 42 games, starting 39. He has scored a pair of goals, including one on a long strike in the Mules' first-round CC playoff game at Haverford last year. Zoeller's first career goal was a last-minute winner at Kean in 2024.
The Mules, who are scheduled to open at Moravian on Tuesday, September 1, received one first-place vote and were picked to finish third in the
CC preseason poll. Muhlenberg finished the 2025 season with an 8-3-9 mark, setting a school record with a 16-game unbeaten streak. The Mules were ranked in the national top 25 during the season and advanced to the CC semifinals for the fourth year in a row.
