Three members of the Muhlenberg women's wrestling team earned places at the season-opening Green Terror Invitational.

Sophomore Sylvyn Parham came in third at 110, junior Kelsey Gelb placed fourth at 160, and freshman Shea Simon scored a sixth-place finish at 207 in her collegiate debut.

Parham went 4-1, winning her first two bouts by technical fall and her last two by fall after getting pinned by the eventual champion of the weight class. Parham set a program record for fastest pin when she leveled her first opponent in the consolation bracket in just 18 seconds. Her two pins at the tournament were one fewer than her total from all of last season.

Gelb, who owned the previous mark of 19 seconds, recorded all three of her wins by fall, all in the first period, extending her program record to 29 career pins in 59 bouts.

Simon was pinned in the first minute of her first collegiate bout but came back to pin the same Newberry opponent in 1:25 when the two squared off in the consolation bracket.

Freshman Charlida Cimino (pictured above) went 2-2 at 117 in her Muhlenberg debut, pinning her first opponent in just 49 seconds. She overcame an early takedown to pin her first consolation opponent, then came back from an early 4-0 deficit to take an 8-7 lead in her next bout before eventually getting pinned.

Freshman Carly Poggio recorded a takedown only 15 seconds into her first career bout at 131.
