The Muhlenberg tennis teams completed a full weekend of competition by winning both matches at McDaniel on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Mules hosted Swarthmore's nationally ranked squads and were shut out.
The men (5-3) were especially dominant in their 7-0 win at McDaniel. The Mules lost only 10 games in the nine matches, with junior
Matt Miller and freshman
Casey Knipe combining for a 6-0 shutout at second doubles, then going on to win their singles matches in 6-0, 6-0 shutouts.
Every Muhlenberg player who competed in singles won at least one set at love, including freshman
Sam Stein (pictured above left) at No. 5.Â
The women (6-2), whose longest winning streak in 16 years was snapped by Swarthmore, got back on the winning track with a 6-1 victory at McDaniel. The Mules' six wins this season are the most since the 2013-14 squad went 8-7.
Freshman
Sydney Madlock did not lose a game in her two matches, while junior
Alexandra Downey also notched a "double bagel" in her singles match.
The Mules won two of the three doubles matches at love, including one by junior
Taylor Current and sophomore
Ella Pomeranz (pictured above right) at No. 3.
