The five members of the Muhlenberg men's golf team who competed at the Albright Northampton Cup combined to shoot six birdies and an eagle.
The eagle was recorded by senior
Charlie Kerprich on the 494-yard 11th hole. He hit the fairway off the tee and then hit a 5-iron from 215 yards away to about 2 inches from the hole, tapping in for his second career eagle.
Kerprich also birdied another par-5 hole, the seventh, and finished with a team-leading 76. He was even par on the back nine.
Senior
Alex McCauley was just one-over par on the back nine, thanks to back-to-back birdies on 14 and 15, both on short putts. The birdies came as part of a stretch where McCauley shot par or better on six straight holes. He finished with a 79.
Senior
Conor Mahoney (pictured above) also made a pair of birdies. On the seventh hole, he hit a 250-yard hybrid to 20 feet and two-putted for birdie, and on 15, he made a 10-foot putt.
Sophomore
Justin Edwards birdied the same hole that Kerprich recorded his eagle on after sending his drive into the left rough. He hit a 5-iron to the right rough, and from 100 yards out he hit the ball to within 12 feet and then made the birdie putt.
