The Muhlenberg women's wrestling team gained experience facing two Division II squads and an established Division III program at the Ursinus Duals.

Freshman Alessandra Rodriguez recorded the Mules' first win of the day, pinning an opponent from Delaware Valley, which is in its fourth varsity season. Rodriguez was taken down early and trailed 6-4 before rebounding to notch her fourth fall of the season.

Freshman Kelsey Gelb went 2-1 on the day to run her season record to 10-2. After picking up a forfeit win vs. Delaware Valley, she pinned her D'Youville opponent just before time expired in the first period.

Freshman Karla Lazaro came close to a pin several times in a back-and-forth bout against D'Youville. She scored the final three points of the first period to tie the score at 7-7, then recorded a takedown early in the second period to take a lead before getting pinned.

Freshman Ella Pomeranz also wrestled an entertaining bout against 18th-ranked Gannon. The second period featured four lead changes, the last on a takedown by the Gannon wrestler in the final 20 seconds to hand Pomeranz (pictured above) an 8-7 loss.
