Playing all freshmen, the Muhlenberg men's tennis team knocked off Moravian, 8-1.
The seven first-year players combined to win all but one match against a Greyhound squad that went 16-5 last year, including an 8-1 win against the Mules.Â
All three doubles matches were highly competitive, with Muhlenberg winning 8-5, 8-6 and 8-7. Two Mules making their collegiate debuts,
Harrison Neff and
William Rose, teamed up for an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles.
Two Muhlenberg players -
Sebastian Meyer at No. 1 and Rose at No. 5 - came back after dropping the first set to win their singles matches in supertiebreakers. Meyer eked out an 11-9 win against the defending Landmark Conference rookie of the year.
