After winning three of four Centennial Conference games, the Muhlenberg softball team swept the CC weekly honors.

Sophomore center fielder Gillian Zack was named player of the week, and senior Cora Bridgers was named pitcher of the week.

Zack hit .467 with two home runs and five RBI in the four games. In Mules' three wins, she was 7-for-13 at the plate and had at least one extra-base hit in each game. In the second game of the Franklin & Marshall doubleheader, Zack hit a solo home run in the first and a two-run homer in the 11th, providing the go-ahead runs in a 5-2 Muhlenberg win. The ninth player in program history to hit two home runs in a game, Zack also hit a two-run double in the Mules' 11-1 win in the opener.

Zack continued her hot hitting in Muhlenberg's doubleheader sweep of Centenary on Monday, going 5-for-7. She's recorded multiple hits in her last five games and seven of her last eight, hitting .586 over that span to raise her season average to a team-leading .375.

Bridgers earned the CC honor for the fifth time in her career after going 2-0 with a 1.17 ERA in two complete-game wins. In the second game of the Franklin & Marshall doubleheader, she pitched the full 11 innings, allowing only one earned run and tying a career high with 12 strikeouts, including five in the first two extra innings. She also hit an RBI single in the top of the 11th. Bridgers tossed an eight-hitter at Dickinson in her first start of the week. For the week, she totaled 18 strikeouts and just three walks in 18 innings of work. 

The two wins put Bridgers into a tie for 10th on the Mules' all-time list with 23 for her career. She now ranks fifth all-time with 267 career strikeouts, including 60 this year to rank fourth in the CC.
