Six Players, Coaching Staff Honored in All-CC Softball

The winningest team in Muhlenberg athletic history was recognized for its record-breaking season when the All-Centennial Conference softball team was announced.

The Mules took home two major awards: Freshman pitcher Eden Clark was named rookie of the year, and the staff of Sarah Leavenworth and assistants Maddisen Bieber, Jean Buskirk, and Lee Maulorico was selected as coaching staff of the year.

Joining Clark on the first team were sophomore Ava Storlazzi (second base) and freshman Josie Hoffacker (shortstop). Sophomore Morgan Bobrowski (utility) and juniors Josie Krieman (pitcher) and Lillie Teague (outfield) earned second-team honors.

The six players all received their first career All-CC honors; in fact, four of the six had never played in a CC game before this season. The coaching staff successfully assembled the new talent into a team that has won 32 games and finished in second place in the CC with a 12-4 record, the program's best in 12 years. Among the wins was the 100th of Leavenworth's Muhlenberg career.

The three first-team selections are the most for the Mules since 2003, and six players on the first and second teams ties the school record set in 2013. Muhlenberg hadn't put two first-year players on the All-CC first team since 2001.

Clark is the first Mule to be named rookie of the year since the award was instituted in 2013. The righty is 14-5 with a 2.31 ERA and 133 strikeouts - a school record for freshmen - in 103 innings. Clark is holding opposing hitters to a .182 batting average and ranks in the top 15 in Division III in strikeouts per seven innings and fewest hits allowed per seven innings.

Clark has pitched four shutouts in her last six starts, including a no-hitter against McDaniel and a four-hit blanking of Gettysburg in the CC playoffs.

Storlazzi, whose 2025 season was cut short by injury, rebounded to hit .471 in CC games and tie for the lead with 15 runs scored in league games. Overall, she leads Muhlenberg with a .440 batting average and is second on the team with 25 stolen bases without getting caught.

Hoffacker also is perfect on steals for the season, swiping 29 bags, including a league-leading 14 in CC games. Hoffacker led the CC with an outrageous .676 on-base percentage in league games. Overall, she leads the Mules in walks (19) and sacrifices (7), is tied for the lead in runs scored (36) and is second in batting average (.433) and stolen bases.

Bobrowski contributed at pitcher, designated player, and second base during the season. The three-time CC pitcher of the week is 10-3 with a 1.37 ERA - second in the CC - and is hitting .415 with 11 RBI.

When injuries prevented Bobrowski from pitching for the last two weeks of the regular season, Krieman stepped in seamlessly, holding opponents to one run or fewer in three of her five starts against CC foes. Overall, the transfer is 4-2 with a 2.31 ERA and a pair of saves.

Teague has started every game in left field and leads Muhlenberg with 37 RBI (second in the CC). She is tied for the team and league lead with 12 doubles and also ranks third on the Mules in hits (49) and runs scored (33) while hitting .348.

Muhlenberg is 32-11 and awaiting word on an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament; the NCAA Selection Show is on Monday, May 11. In addition to wins, the Mules have set school records for hits, stolen bases, shutouts, and strikeouts in a season.
