Muhlenberg senior Ben Arehart received a bid to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.

The national meet is scheduled for March 11-12 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Arehart is slated to compete in the high jump at 11:00 on Saturday, March 12.

One of 20 competitors in the high jump, Arehart qualified with his school-record jump of 6-8¾ at the NYC Division III Invitational in early February. That height is tied for 13th on the Division III performance list. 

The bid to nationals is the second straight for Arehart, who also qualified for the outdoor championships last spring, also in North Carolina. There, he tied for eighth place to earn All-America honors. 

Arehart is the first member of the Muhlenberg men's team ever to qualify for the Division III Indoor Championships in a field event. He is the fourth Mule male to earn a trip to the NCAA Championships in an individual event both indoors and outdoors.
