The Muhlenberg women's basketball team made only four second-half field goals and lost at Haverford, 65-36.
Things started well for the Mules (9-11, 5-10) against the two-time defending Centennial Conference champion Fords (17-6, 13-5). Muhlenberg led 15-8 after the first quarter and, even after a Haverford surge in the second quarter, trailed by only three at halftime.
Seniors
Amanda Gorski and
Margaux Eripret each made a bucket in the first minute of the second half to cut the deficit to one, but the Mules went dry after that. Haverford led by 14 at the end of the third quarter and pulled away even more in the final period.
Gorski led the Mules with a season-high 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field, and Eripret
(pictured above) scored 9 points.
