A short-handed Muhlenberg women's basketball team fell to Gettysburg, 70-35, in its first home game of 2022.
The Mules (5-6, 1-5) dressed only three of the eight players who averaged more than 10 minutes in their first 10 games of the season. Two players made their first career starts, and three others set career highs in minutes.Â
To make matters worse, the inexperienced squad was facing a first-place Gettysburg team that was at full strength. The Bullets (8-2, 6-0), who have been ranked as high as 19th in Division III this season, scored the first 15 points of the game and led comfortably throughout.Â
Senior
Margaux Eripret and sophomore
Maddie Fagan led Muhlenberg with 8 points apiece, while freshman
Megan Winters (pictured above) pulled down a team-high 5 rebounds.
