The Muhlenberg men's basketball team is No. 7 in the Mid-Atlantic in the second NCAA regional rankings of the 2019-20 season.
 
The NCAA regional rankings are conducted by the committees that ultimately shape the field for the NCAA Tournament. The complete Mid-Atlantic ranking is as follows, with records through games of February 16:

The rankings are based on won-loss record, strength of schedule and results against other regionally ranked opponents.

The Mules have two wins against teams that are or have been regionally ranked – DeSales (No. 5 in the Atlantic Region this week) and Haverford (No. 8 in the Mid-Atlantic Region last week).

The NCAA regional ranking is believed to be the first ever for the Mules, although they did receive honorable mention in the Mid-Atlantic rankings in both 1999-2000 and 2001-02, when no more than six teams were ranked.

In its first game as a regionally ranked team, Muhlenberg came from 10 points down in the second half to win 84-79 at Ursinus last night. The Mules (17-7) have won 17 regular-season games for the first time in eight years and are 10 games over .500 this late in the regular season for the first time in 18 years.

Muhlenberg is in fourth place in the CC with one game remaining in the regular season and will host a first-round playoff game on Tuesday, February 25.
