Junior Spencer Duke of the Muhlenberg men's basketball team was named player of the week by the Centennial Conference.

Duke scored a career-high 26 points in the Mules' season-opening 95-87 win at Moravian. He shot 9-of-13 from the field and topped his previous career best of 12 points in the first half alone. The forward added five rebounds, two steals and two blocks in the win. 

The 26 points were the most scored by a Muhlenberg player in the first game of the season since 1996, when Michael Queenen netted 27 in a Scotty Wood Tournament win against Brockport.

Duke was the top contributor to a historic offensive showing for the Mules, who had never before topped the 90-point mark in a season-opening road game.
