A veteran group of seniors and an improved attack have the Muhlenberg women's soccer team excited for the 2019 season.
The Mules return six seniors, including five who started at least 15 of the team's 16 games last year and have been starters for most of their careers.
"We have really strong senior leadership," said head coach
Kelly Wakeman in the
team's preview video. "We have six seniors, players who have played a ton of minutes for us and have been recognized in the conference. We're really excited to see what they're going to bring as a collective."
"We've gotten a lot of fresh talent and I think our attack has improved a lot," noted senior co-captain
Casarah Morales. "I'm excited to see how many goals we can put in the back of the net."
"Being a senior, you have to go out there with everything you've got. You've got one last round," added senior co-captain
Libby Juliano. "I think that's the mindset all the seniors have."
