The Muhlenberg cross country teams opened up their 2026 season by both finishing eighth overall at the Lehigh Invitational.

The women came in third among five Division III teams, finishing ahead of DeSales by five points. Last year, DeSales narrowly defeated the Mules at both the Lehigh Invitational (by 20 points) and the NCAA Regional meet (by seven points).

Freshman Ella Schweitzer led Muhlenberg in her collegiate debut, placing 54th overall, 10th among Division III runners, and 10 scoring places ahead of DeSales' top runner.

Senior Ella Borello (pictured above right) and junior Olivia Maytin, making her Mule cross country debut, also finished ahead of their corresponding DeSales runners.

The men were led by their two senior co-captains, both making their return to cross country after studying abroad last fall. Raam Ravishankar, running his first cross country race since 2023, was Muhlenberg's top finisher, followed by David Seel.

The next five Mule runners were all freshmen and sophomores.
