Junior Kate Lysaght and seniors Reece Montano and MJ Callahan (pictured left to right above) have been named captains of the 2026 Muhlenberg field hockey team.

Lysaght was a regular in the Mules' starting lineup in each of her first two seasons, working around injuries to start 27 of the team's 35 games as a back and midfielder. Last year, she recorded a defensive save to preserve a shutout of McDaniel, and she also stole a pass to set up a goal against nationally ranked Dickinson. A biology major, Lysaght was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2025.

Montano played in a reserve role in her first three years, earning her first career start in Muhlenberg's 2026 season opener at Scranton. A double major in psychology and studio art, she is a two-time member of the CC Academic Honor Roll.

Callahan started 29 games as a midfielder in 2023 and 2024, recording a goal and four assists. She netted her first career goal in a Centennial Conference win against Dickinson as a sophomore, and all four of her assists have come in Mule wins, including CC victories against McDaniel and Haverford in 2023. 

Muhlenberg is scheduled to play its home opener on Saturday, September 5, with a Crosstown Clash game against Moravian.
