Head coach Megan Eddinger and associate head coach Teresa Mathews have announced the addition of eight student-athletes to the Muhlenberg field hockey program for the 2026-27 campaign.

"We are thrilled to welcome eight outstanding student-athletes to the Muhlenberg field hockey family," Eddinger said of the class. "This talented group will complement our returning players and strengthen an already dedicated and competitive team.  We look forward to welcoming them to campus in August and supporting their growth over the next four years both on the field and in the classroom.  We are excited to be a part of their journey as they develop as athletes, students, and leaders.  Our coaching staff can't wait to see what the 2026 season brings, and we are eager to begin this next chapter together."

The group features one transfer (Jocelyn Morgan) and seven members of the Class of 2030. Positionally, it is a well-rounded class, with three forwards, three midfielders, one back, and one goalkeeper. 

They will be looking to fill some rather large shoes left behind by the 2026 graduating class, especially those of Abba Diglio and Erin DiSandro. That duo departs after leading the team in scoring last season by a fair margin, and ranks among the top 10 in nearly every career-long offensive category. Not to be lost in the mix are Lily Botta, Greta Marchildon, and Molly Woodward, who combined to play in 52 of 54 total games last season.

About Morgan: A transfer from Kutztown, Morgan spent two years there and played 16 games after graduating from Easton Area High School in 2024. The rising junior was downright dominant in high school, totaling 352 career points (148 career goals) and leading her team in points in all four seasons. In 2024, she was the Morning Call's Female Athlete of the Year, first-team all-conference, and first-team all-state. Morgan also intends to play lacrosse at Muhlenberg, a sport in which she set school records for most goals (276) and points (345). Her future plans include attending graduate school to pursue occupational therapy.
Why Muhlenberg?: "(It has) great academics as well as location, and the positive team culture on both the field hockey and lacrosse teams."

About Aneses: Aneses was a three-time letterwinner and team captain at South Plainfield High School, where she earned a rookie of the year nod as a sophomore before ascending to greater heights as a senior. That's when she was named First-Team All-Red Division and First-Team All-Greater Middlesex Conference as a midfielder. Aneses also lettered thrice in basketball and was a member of the track and field team in the spring, participating in the 100m, 200m, and long jump. She also has a pair of cousins, Tara Luing '94 and Brian Luing '94, who graduated from Muhlenberg.
Why Muhlenberg?: "I chose Muhlenberg because of the academic opportunities and the spirit of the field hockey team!"

About Bartzak: Bartzak was a three-time letterwinner in both field hockey and softball during her high school career. She played both left and right back and racked up seven defensive saves as a senior, which brought her career total to 12. On the diamond, Bartzak was a team captain and outfielder, and her efforts in the classroom earned her the Hunterdon Warren Sussex Scholar Athlete Award. Her future plans include becoming a human resource manager.
Why Muhlenberg?: "I chose Muhlenberg because of the close-knit dynamic on campus. From the moment I stepped on campus, I knew this was the place I wanted to call my second home. Muhlenberg offers a strong variety of academic programs as well as a wide variety of clubs and activities. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend the campus and learn how to become a better version of myself."

About Davis: Davis had a dominant senior campaign to cap off an excellent career at Clarkstown South High School, earning all-league, all-section, and all-state honors and leading the Vikings to the Section 1 Class A finals. She was also named the school's female athlete of the season. Davis nabbed all-county and all-league nods during her sophomore and junior seasons as well. Her grandfather, Jim Davis, was drafted into the NBA by the Rochester Royals in 1954 and played a few games with the Royals in 1955.
Why Muhlenberg?: "I chose Muhlenberg because of the amazing campus environment. Everyone is so welcoming and personable. I think it is important for students and professors to have a relationship, and Muhlenberg is known for that. Additionally, it has very competitive athletic programs and fosters amazing student-athletes."

About Dhillon: Dhillon comes all the way from Fremont High School in California, where she captained both the field hockey and soccer teams on the way to earning a total of seven varsity letters. She helped the Firebirds to a pair of league championships and was named first-team all-league three times during her time in high school. Dhillon was named senior MVP of her league and was a Female Athlete of the Year nominee for the 2025-26 school year as well. 
Why Muhlenberg?: "I chose Muhlenberg after I fell in love with the community, campus, and field hockey girls. I loved how welcoming and kind everyone was, and how nice the facilities and education are."

About Gibson: Gibson split her time across three sports in high school: field hockey, wrestling, and track and field. As a four-year letterwinner as a midfielder on the field hockey team, she was Palisades' leading scorer and MVP. She twice lettered in wrestling and spent four years on varsity as a thrower in track and field, resulting in a total of 10 varsity letters. Her future plans include becoming a therapist for children with special needs.
Why Muhlenberg?: "I loved the team atmosphere and the close proximity to my hometown and family."

About Mignosi: Mignosi, who hails from nearby Stroudsburg, spent her final two seasons on varsity and was a team captain. Across 42 games, she racked up 39 points, including 16 goals on just 28 shots. Mignosi was an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) Scholar-Athlete as a senior and earned the coaches' award as well. She also helped the Mountaineers make it to the EPC playoffs and district playoffs last season.
Why Muhlenberg?: "I chose Muhlenberg for its strong academics, close-knit community, and opportunities to grow both in the classroom and on the field."

About Sabo: The lone netminder on the list, Sabo holds the Palmerton Area High School record for most career saves (392) and shutouts (21). She spent three years on varsity and turned that into three straight all-area nods from both Lehigh Valley Live and The Morning Call. She captained both the field hockey and track and field teams, and was a sprinter on the latter. Sabo was an all-area selection another three times in that endeavor and was named to MileSplit's All-State First Team in 2025. She plans to be a member of the track and field teams at Muhlenberg as well.
Why Muhlenberg?: "I chose Muhlenberg because it is a smaller school that will allow me to explore all of my interests, as well as play two sports."
