Muhlenberg Welcomes Karli Gilbert as Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team will have a new face on the sidelines when it opens its season in mid-February.

Karli Gilbert joined the staff in the fall as a full-time assistant to verteran head coach Kristen Stuckel

A 2019 graduate of Lock Haven University, where she was a three-year captain and scored 85 career goals, Gilbert spent two years coaching at the Division I level, at Butler University for the 2022 season and at Furman University for the 2023 season. She helped Butler to its best season to date and Furman to the second seed in the Big South Tournament.

Gilbert returned closer to home after leaving Furman and served as the head coach at Souderton High School in 2024 and 2025, coaching multiple all-conference players and reaching the district tournament - the first time for the program in five years - in her second season at the helm.

Gilbert also served as director of recruiting for True Lacrosse, educating families and players about the college lacrosse recruiting process and coaching True's national team.

In addition to earning her bachelor's in health science, Gilbert also earned a master's in sport administration from Lock Haven.

The Mules, who are scheduled to open their season at home on Wednesday, February 18, are coming off a banner 2025 campaign in which they went 14-5, setting a school record for wins, and recorded the first CC playoff win in program history with a 16-8 home defeat of Ursinus. All five of the Mules' losses were to nationally ranked teams, and they were in the running for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
