Muhlenberg athletes are spending the summer of 2025 enjoying fantastic experiences on campus, in their hometowns, and across the country.
Rising junior women's lacrosse player Ella Nagle, a business administration major, has used what she's learned at Muhlenberg to help organizations near her hometown create custom apparel stores.Â
This summer, I've been working as a sales intern at Millennium Printing Corporation in Weymouth, Massachusetts, with their Hometown Graphics division. In this role, I help local schools, sports teams, and businesses create custom online stores for their apparel and gear. It's been a fast-paced, hands-on experience that has pushed me to grow my communication and sales skills in real-world settings.
One of the most rewarding parts of the internship has been working with local high school sports teams that I either played for or competed against growing up. Helping these teams create custom stores felt full circle. It was meaningful to reconnect with programs that were such a big part of my athletic journey and now support them in a new way.
I've also had the opportunity to create team stores for colleges and collegiate athletes, helping them showcase their programs through custom gear. It's been exciting to support athletes at the next level and provide tools that help build pride and visibility for their teams and communities.
Going door to door and meeting with clients face to face has taught me how important it is to adjust your approach based on the person you're speaking to. My coworkers have been incredibly helpful along the way, sharing their sales experience and offering feedback that has helped me grow more confident in my role.
I've leaned heavily on what I've learned as a business and marketing major at Muhlenberg, especially when it comes to communication, timing, and building relationships. Those classroom lessons have translated directly into the work I do every day, and I'm grateful for that foundation.
Overall, this internship has been a valuable part of my summer. It has given me practical skills, exposed me to the day-to-day reality of working in sales, and helped me better understand where I want to go professionally. I'm looking forward to taking these experiences with me into the upcoming school year and beyond.
