The Muhlenberg athletics staff will feature three new full-time assistant coaches for the 2025-26 year.
Cole Glennon returned to the Mules as an assistant football coach, Maddie Murphy joined the staff as the women's soccer program's first full-time assistant, and assistant men's soccer coach
Tyler Madeira had his position upgraded from part time to full time.
After spending his first year out of college as a member of Muhlenberg's coaching staff,
Glennon returned as recruiting coordinator and defensive backs coach for the 2025 season.
A 2011 graduate of Dickinson College, Glennon served as defensive backs coach, special teams coordinator, and strength coach at his alma mater from 2018 to 2024. During his time there, he assisted in the development of 12 All-Centennial Conference performers and two All-Americans as a coordinator. In 2019, Dickinson led the CC and ranked 13th in Division III in net punting.
Glennon also helped coach the top-ranked pass defense in the CC in 2021 and 2022, and in his strength and conditioning role, assisted in training the 2025 Division III national champion in the outdoor 800 meters.
Prior to his coaching tenure at Dickinson, Glennon served as defensive coordinator at Wilkes University from 2014 to 2017 and a defensive assistant at Villanova University from 2012 to 2013 and at Muhlenberg in 2011.
A three-year varsity letterwinner in football at Dickinson, Glennon lives in Boyertown, Pennsylvania with his wife Katie and five children, Cole, Emma, Clay, Rose, and Luke.
Before coming to Muhlenberg,
Murphy spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Shippensburg University while earning an MBA. She coached the goalkeepers, back line, and holding midfielders, including an All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference back and a goalie who was named defensive player of the week in 2024.
Murphy arrived at Shippensburg after serving as an U8-U18 goalkeeping coach for AFC Bolts Soccer in Massachusetts. She also was a private goalkeeping instructor and evaluator for Soccer Asylum.
Murphy graduated from West Virginia University in December 2022 with a bachelor of science in communication studies. At WVU, Murphy was a goalkeeper on the women's soccer team, playing more than 500 minutes between the sticks for the Mountaineers and helping the team to a Big 12 Tournament championship in her final season. She previously played two seasons at Boston College.
A 2020 graduate of Bloomsburg University,
Madeira is in his fifth season as the top assistant to head coach
Sean Topping and has been a big factor in the Mules advancing to three consecutive Centennial Conference championship games. Muhlenberg won the title in 2022, received bids to the NCAA Tournament in 2022 and 2024, and has an overall record of 43-21-18 (.634) in Madeira's first four seasons.
Madeira played four years at Bloomsburg, finishing his career with 39 points on 17 goals and 5 assists. He earned a spot on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference team twice, making the second team as a junior and the first team as a senior. Madeira led the Huskies with 10 goals in 2018, becoming the first Bloomsburg player in 15 years to record a hat trick.
Madeira attended nearby Parkland High School.
