For the third straight year, Muhlenberg graduate student
Noel House qualified to compete in the javelin at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The 2025 NCAA meet is scheduled for May 22-24 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. The men's javelin competition is slated for the first day of the meet, Thursday, May 22, at 5:45.
House
(pictured above throwing at last year's NCAA Championships) qualified in the most dramatic way possible. He ranked 37th on the Division III performance list, well below the 22 who earn invites, before his sixth and final attempt at the All-Atlantic Region Championships this past week. On what could have been the last throw of his career, House uncorked a season-best mark of 63.33 meters (207 feet, 9 inches) to not only win the event, but also put himself in the top 15 nationally.
House enters the NCAA meet seeded 14th among the 22 qualifiers. He joins John Brodowski (decathlon, 2003-05) and Jordan Rosenthal (javelin, 2014-16) as the only members of the Mule men's program to qualify for nationals in the same outdoor event three consecutive years.
In his first trip to nationals in 2023, House placed 14th, and last year he finished eighth to earn All-America honors.
