The
Centennial Conference has launched the IMPACT Initiative, a conference-wide focus designed to highlight how student-athletes and institutions make a difference beyond the playing field.
The initiative celebrates ongoing efforts and inspires new programs that strengthen campus communities and broader society. It will culminate with the Centennial Day of Learning on June 4, which will bring together resources and community partners to empower departments to turn passion into meaningful action.
The IMPACT Initiative is centered on three priorities: recognizing the ongoing leadership and community service already happening across the Conference, equipping student-athletes with the tools and knowledge to enhance their impact, and fostering collaboration among institutions.
Several coordinated efforts will support this work throughout the year. Community Service Spotlights will be featured on centennial.org and across social media to showcase institutional and student-athlete initiatives. A conference-wide SAAC Day of Service, known as "IMPACT in Action," will unite institutions around a shared day of meaningful volunteer activities.
Student-athletes will also be invited to participate in the "My IMPACT" storytelling campaign, submitting short videos or reflections on how they have made an impact or who has influenced them, with selected stories highlighted in conference communications.
The year will conclude with the Day of Learning, featuring engagement opportunities with nonprofit organizations, volunteer signups, and storytelling activations designed to connect service to action.
Muhlenberg is a charter member of the CC since joining what was then the Centennial Football Conference in 1983. The league expanded to an all-sports conference for the 1993-94 academic year, with Muhlenberg playing Washington College in a men's soccer game in the first Centennial Conference contest in a sport other than football.
