The Muhlenberg baseball team fell behind early and lost at Ursinus, 9-2.
The Bears (9-15, 2-3) plated two runs in the first and seven in the second to take a 9-0 lead. They were kept off the scoreboard the rest of the way by the Mule bullpen, most notably sophomore
Sam KelsteinÂ
(pictured above). The southpaw had the best outing of his career, tossing five scoreless frames in which he allowed only two hits and struck out four.
Junior
Zach Sager provided the offensive highlight when he hit a pinch-hit home run in the top of the ninth. It was his second career hit and first home run.
The Mules (11-13, 0-7) scored their first run in the eighth on an RBI single by senior
Trevor Virno.
Senior
Ryan Gilbert went 2-for-3 with a double.
