Two Muhlenberg athletes were honored as Centennial Conference Scholar-Athletes of the Year in their respective sports.

Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors are awarded in each sport to a member of the junior or senior class with the highest cumulative GPA on the All-CC team.

Junior Marielle Avola was the women's track and field Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She won a gold medal in the steeplechase at the CC Championships, becoming the Mules' first-ever conference champion in the event. Avola led wire to wire in just the second steeplechase of her career, winning by almost a full minute and posting the ninth-fastest time in the region this year. A neuroscience major and studio art minor, Avola is a member of Muhlenberg's Dana Scholar program and made the Dean's List each of her first five semesters at Muhlenberg.

Junior Maxwell Seeber was the CC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in men's lacrosse. He earned All-CC honorable mention as a longstick middie after leading the CC (among players who were not faceoff specialists) with 39 ground balls. He also caused 12 turnovers (third in the league) and scored a pair of goals. A double major in economics and accounting, Seeber made the Dean's List each of his first five semesters and won two awards at Muhlenberg's recent Honors Convocation ceremony: The Todd L. Romig Memorial Prize, awarded to a junior who most exemplifies the true characteristics of a scholar athlete, and the Russell Fulford Award, awarded to a junior with the highest average in history or economics.
