For the fourth time in his career, junior Michael Hnatkowsky of the Muhlenberg football team was named Centennial Conference offensive player of the week.

Hnatkowsky tied a school record with five touchdown passes in the Mules' season-opening 45-26 win against The College of New Jersey. He finished 17-of-25 for 286 yards and no interceptions for an efficiency rating of 230.1. His scoring strikes covered 25, 38, 17, 30 and 19 yards.

The fifth Muhlenberg quarterback to throw five TD passes in a game, Hnatkowsky had previously tossed four touchdowns in a game six times. He is the first Mule with five touchdown passes in the first game of the season.

Hnatkowsky has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 19 consecutive games and has a career record of 18-4 as a starter. He set school records for passing yards (3,101) and passing touchdowns (31) last year.
