The Mike Donnelly Memorial Football Fund

The Mike Donnelly Memorial Football Fund has been established to commemorate Coach Donnelly's legacy as the winningest football coach in Muhlenberg College history, with a record of 143-76.

Beyond winning, Coach Donnelly was passionate about lifelong learning. The Mike Donnelly Memorial Football Fund encourages lifelong learning by supporting professional development opportunities for the football coaching staff.

Mike "Duke" Donnelly arrived at Muhlenberg in 1996 and quickly turned the Mules into a perennial championship contender and national top 10 team. Under Coach Donnelly's guidance, Muhlenberg tied for the Centennial Conference championship four straight years (2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004) and, in 2007, won the Centennial Conference championship with a record of 11-1.

In 2007, Coach Donnelly led Muhlenberg football to its first undefeated regular season (10-0) in program history. The 2008 squad repeated as conference champions and rose to No. 2 nationally – the highest ranking for a Muhlenberg team in any sport.

In his 20 complete seasons, Coach Donnelly coached 19 All-Americans, nine Centennial Conference players of the year, two conference rookies of the year and seven Academic All-Americans. During his tenure, Coach Donnelly captured multiple regional and conference coach of the year honors. In 2018, Coach Donnelly was inducted in the Muhlenberg College Athletic Hall of Fame along with the entire 2007 football team.

A gift to The Mike Donnelly Memorial Football Fund is a meaningful and lasting acknowledgment of a beloved coach. Coach Donnelly's impact on the Muhlenberg College football program will always be remembered. Your support ensures that his legacy will last a lifetime.
