Sara Finger of the Muhlenberg women's tennis team was named Centennial Conference player of the week for the second time in her career.
Finger dropped only six games in going 3-0 at No. 1 singles to extend her personal winning streak to seven and remain undefeated in the CC this year. Her biggest win was a 6-2, 6-2 defeat of 2015 CC player of the year April Weaver of Washington, the 13th-ranked player in the region.
Finger also won in straight sets against Haverford (6-1, 6-1) and McDaniel (6-0, 6-0) and added an 8-0 doubles shutout vs. McDaniel.
The wins improved Finger's career record to 46-28, including a 28-12 singles mark. She is 13-2 playing at No. 1 singles in the highly competitive CC over the last two years, and the two losses came last year to players she has defeated this year, including Weaver.
Finger was named CC player of the week last year after
recording wins against Swarthmore and Gettysburg.
